Q. Does the library cover any open access charges or article processing fees?

Moody Medical Library, in partnership with our subscriptions with UT System, has recently entered into agreements with publishers to cover, or partially cover, article processing charges (APC). Current agreements include:

• American Chemical Society - $250 discount on hybrid journals
• Cambridge University Press – APC is covered in participating OA journals
• Elsevier - 10% discount APC for hybrid journals; 15% discount on APC for journals that are entirely open access
• Institute of Physics – APC is covered for most OA or hybrid OA journals
• Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences - $500 discount on articles with the OA designation at the time of publication
• SAGE - APC is covered in participating OA or hybrid OA journals
